Steven J Freedman

President and CEO

Steven Freedman is the founder of FMI Recycling. Steve has a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Dallas native and married with five children. Since its inception in 1984, Steve has overseen all aspects of FMI. Steve has instilled in his associates the company-wide attitude of respecting the needs of his customers. Steve believes his company can achieve the goal of total customer satisfaction while adhering to today’s environmental concerns. Steve’s specialty is precise delegation and oversight of company responsibilities. ”My twenty-eight years of experience have enabled me to become an expert not only in putting together total recycling packages but also in making sure the efficient implementation of the project is carried through.”

Brad Gist

Warehouse Manager

Brad joined the FMI Recycling Management team in June 2013. Prior to joining, he worked for over 15 years at an electronic repair company as a repair/project manager. In his current role with FMI Recycling as the warehouse manager, he oversees all material in the warehouse, from receiving to shipping. It is his responsibility to ensure that everything is processed in a timely and eco-friendly manner.

Libby Sands

Office Manager

Libby is in charge of the accounting department. Libby has been with FMI since 1995. She attended Indiana University and is married with three children and two grandchildren. Libby is very loyal, dependable, and a terrific asset to FMI. “My hope for the company is that it will continue to grow so that all of our customers and employees can enjoy a better way of life." Libby enjoys spending time with her family and coaching softball.

Alex Caballero

Data Control Manager

Alex has been with the company since 2009. She manages the data control department. She oversees all materials that come in, materials that ship out, and the status of all materials within the company. 

Fabiola Ramos

Logistical Manager

Fabiola runs the logistical department. She joined the team in 2012 and has been a great asset to the company. She oversees all of FMI Recycling's logistics equipment, and she makes sure all of our customers are well taken care of.
